Waterways Testing
Waterways Testing
In 2020, in partnership with the Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District (CSWCD), The Bay Village Green Team obtained a grant to obtain the scientific equipment needed for the testing of our local waterways. Volunteers are needed who are able to commit to test the water at their assigned site at least once per month. Data points will be gathered for turbidity (water clarity), dissolved oxygen, temperature, PH, salinity, conductivity, total dissolved solids, Phosphate (PO4), and Nitrate (NO3). Training will be provided. The data collected will be compiled by CSWCD and used to identify issues in our local watershed. The City of Bay Village will also use the data when applying for grants. If you are interested, then please email info@bayvillagegreenteam.org to find the next training date.
