Pruning & Removing Trees

Some trees become damaged or diseased and thus need to be pruned and in some cases cut down entirely. For a wonderful resource on how to recognize and respond to damaged trees go to the Tree Owner Guide. Ultimately, if you believe there is a problem, consult an ISA certified arborist (Find an Arborist (treesaregood.org)) to help you make smart decisions. Removing trees unnecessarily is not only expensive, but it will eliminate many of the benefits, including economic, that trees provide. If it is recommended that you remove a tree on your property by others, and the tree appears healthy, we strongly recommend you consult an arborist. If a neighboring tree appears dangerous, call the neighbor and even share the cost of an arborist.
